About Us

STARS serves over 100,000 young people, annually, throughout 8 Middle Tennessee counties. For 40 years, we have provided programs that center on prevention, intervention, treatment and training. STARS offers school-based, mental health counseling and therapeutic services in urban, suburban and rural areas. Our continuum of school-based services addresses the needs of students facing such issues as trauma, violence, PTSD, substance abuse, depression, grief & loss, and bullying.

STARS also offers intensive, outpatient substance mis-use treatment for young people ages 13-18.

Our community-based services work to educate and prevent overdosing as well as assist those ready for further substance abuse treatment services. Our clinical & treatment services are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

STARS has been recognized for 12 consecutive years as a Top Workplace by The Tennessean.
